Model development

At the beginning ideas get assabled and sketched on paper. Familiar models often serve as examples so that the new shoe referenced to the previous product line. Following a three-dimensional model is created out of the sketch on compuer.

In the next step seperate cuts of the new model get digital captured by means of a CAD-Software. Cutting losses, upholsteries and stitchings are taken in considerations. The patterns are digitally povided for the cutting department.

Manufacure of the shoe upper

The top part of the shoe is calles upper. The upper of men´s shoes are stitched together out of several parts. The upper of women´s shoes are often made out of two parts, the front part and the rear part.

The uppers, controllend by the tannery, are also controlled by the cutting department and imperfect parts get marked. The computer-controlled cutting table recognizes the imperfect parts, the pattern is applied on the uppers and cutted out automatically. The seperate parts get lettered and tied into bundles.

The seperate parts get processed in the stitching department. The upper is strengthend with a lining, for more stability, duability and better wearing comfort. The different parts are covered completly and stitched together afterwards.

In the following steps the strengthend material is adjustend depending on the model. Uppers parts get strengthend by a tearproof thread and decorative stitching as well as ornamentations are added. In the last step the eyelets for lacing (men´s shoes) and snap fasteners on the rear part (women´s shoes) are added.

Sole and bottoming department

In the bottoming department the insole is strapled under strips. In the finished dancing shoe the insole is between the chrome leather sole and the ___sole. The insole is out of different layers, the heel part is very sturdy and the forefood part is thin and more movable.

In the next production step the upper gets processed. Its put on the strips and sticked and nailed together with the insole. This step is made with an maschine for men´s shoes and the rear part of women´s shoes. The front part of women´s shoes is attached manual. Upper and insole go through a heater so the material takes the shape of the strip.

The chrome leather sole and the insole is just sticked together. Before the glue gets applied in several layers, unevennesses are removed with a belt grinder so the glue sticks very good.

Following the missing heel gets added. Heels of womens dancing shoes are covered in corresponding material. The heel is screwed together with the shoe and fixed with a number of little nails.

The glue on the underside of the shoe gets activated by temperature and the chrome leather sole is sticked under presure. The overlapping chrome leather is cutted off.

The last working step before the Finish is the covering of the ___ and the smashing of the heel tips on the heel. The rubber mix of the heel is a soft synthetic material for better hold on the dancing floor. The heel tips are exchangeable.

Final steps/ Finish

Most parts of the dancing shoes are handicrafted by many people. In the Finish the dancing shoes are refurbished, glue rests are disposed and the shoes get cleaned. At least 3 employees control every shoe and afterwards shoelaces and straps get thread into the shoe.

The finished Diamant dancing shoes are packed in tissue paper to avoid scratches. Enclosing to the shoes is a free shoe bag for transporting your dancing shoes.
